Pirate Penguin!

ARRR me matey! I made another card using the Peachy Keen and The Scrapping Cottage penguin doll and accessories#2 dies. These die cuts are so versatile, you can make cards for any occasion. This pirate penguin's ENTIRE outfit is made from the accessories#2 die. I used the scarf to make the sash. The sword is made from the headband and bow-tie. The hook is made from the hat with the large pom pom and the base is the mitten (with thumb cut off). The eye patch is the large pom pom with the thin ear muff. The stripes are made from the thin ear muff.

I have some awesome news! Joanne, from The Scrapping Cottage, has donated a Penguin Die for me to give away on my blog! So that means one of you will win this adorable Penguin die. What you need to do is post a comment and leave contact information on this blog post. Please be fair and only leave one comment. The winner for this contest will be announced next Monday! Peachy Keen Challenge #33

Even sea creatures need to beat the summer heat with a nice refreshing glass of lemonade. For this card I used several Cricut cartridges: Just Because (for the glass of lemonade and the word lemonade), French Manor (lemon border), Block Party (the pitcher), and Life's a beach (coral and sea weed). The adorable Peachy Keen stamped images are from Under the Sea, Sea Animals and Creatures, and Ocean Fun.

Blog Hop!

I am so excited to do another blog hop with Peachy Keen. I hope you enjoyed Heidi's blog along with the other designers! This hop is special, because we are showcasing the new Peachy Keen dies that are made by The Scrapping Cottage. These dies are absolutely adorable! I used the Penguin Dolls and the interchangeable accessories. I did not use any other die cutting machine to create any of my cards. I really wanted to showcase the possibilities these dies have to offer. In honor of the blog hop I thought it would appropriate to start with a fun jump roping card.

This little penguin is ready to jump with his white tennis shoes and sweat band. For the jump rope I used the bow as the handles and attached it to a jelly rope. The sentiment is from Happy Bird and Phrases.

This trendy penguin is really having fun listening to her ipod with her awesome headphones. I used the ear muffs to make the headphones and attached it with string to the ipod. The ipod is made from a rectangle with shapes added to it.

Santa penguin is super jolly and excited for Christmas. HIS beard is the hat with the giant pom pom flipped upside down. His bag is made from the white part of the penguin body. The sentiment it from Christmas Tag Minis.

The sentiment used on this card is from Vivienne and Friends.

Vivienne and Friends stamp set was also used for the sentiment on this card.

I hope you received some fun inspiration from my blog along with my fellow designer's blogs. Remember to take advantage of the pre-sale discounts being offered to you this week only at Peachy Keen and The Scrapping Cottage. For even more exciting news I am giving away a $15.00 gift certificate to Peachy Keen! All you need to do is leave a comment and contact information, and I will draw a random winner next monday!!! Good Luck and I hope you enjoy the blog hop. Now why don't you hop on over to Lisa's blog!!

Peachy Keen Challenge #32

My favorite vacation destination is not one that you need plane tickets, passports, or even months of planning. It is nice to have a vacation that does entail those things, but it doesn’t occur as much as my favorite vacation. I think the best vacation is one where you leave all your work and other obligations behind. The destination doesn’t need to be far, or even be planned. With vacations like this you can be as spontaneous as you want.

I decided that Henny Penny and Booster Rooster would be perfect to show their favorite vacation. The barn and silo make the perfect setting for this card. I used the “Just Because” Cricut cartridge for the corn, the fence is from “My World”, and the sign is from “Walk In My Garden”. Henny Penny and Booster Rooster really wanted to get away from their work so they traveled to Barnyard Bay to have a day of fun in the sun. Henny Penny is a super sassy hen; her outfit is flashy with her rhinestone-embellished bikini. Booster Rooster is so goofy he wanted to coordinated his stripe swim trunks with Henny’s bikini. I really enjoyed making this card, and I hope you enjoy it too.
