Lemonade in the 'Burbs

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing a card I made for the Lawnscaping Challenge blog!  I absolutely love making scenes, and this one was really fun to make! Lemonade is always a refreshing treat for hot summer days. The popular neighborhood dog decided to set up a cute lemonade stand for all of the thirsty critters. I used the Critters in the 'Burbs stamp set for the dog, squirrel, and neighborhood accessories. The bright pink house and sun in the background is from the Happy Haunting stamp set.  The lemonade stand is the oven from the Plus One stamp set. I masked the inside of the oven, and cut off the top to form a cardboard box lemonade stand. The lemons, lemonade, and sign for the stand are from the Make Lemonade stamp set. The turtle from the Year Two stamp set is a happy customer. The speech bubble is from A Birdie Told Me stamp set and the "yay!" is from the Critter in the 'Burbs stamp set. I wish I had a dog in my neighborhood that had a lemonade stand!

Lawnscaping Challenge #62- Paper Piecing

Hey Everyone! Today I have a very fun card to share with you for the Lawnscaping Challenge Facebook Inspiration Design Team! This card was made for the Lawnscaping Challenge #62- Paper Piecing. I have to make a confession that I have never paper pieced before, so this is my first attempt at it. I have always seen such cute projects with paper piecing. Let me tell you, it is so easy and fun to do! I think I might be hooked on this technique. I wanted to add some shadows to my pieces so I just used some brown chalk ink.

My most favorite cards to make are scenes that tell a story, and using cute animals is an added bonus. Ice cream and milkshakes are always refreshing on hot days. So of course, there is a local ice cream parlor in the middle of the savanna for all the critters. These critters are indulging themselves with a nice strawberry flavored ice cream and shake with their favorite toppings.

Lawn Fawn Supplies Used:

This challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn, and the winner will receive a stamp set of their choice! How amazing is that!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Be sure to check out all of the design team inspirations on the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog and the Lawnscaping Challenges Facebook Page. Have a wonderful day!

Oozak Challenge #17- Anything Goes with a Girly Theme

For the Oozak Challenge #17- Anything Goes with a Girly Theme, I decided to use Some Odd Girl stamps. I have seen many beautiful cards created with these stamps, so I thought I would give it a try. This is my first time using Some Odd Girl Stamps, they are so much fun to color! I used some fun Basic Grey patterned paper. Swirls of rhinestones, colorful flowers with pearl centers, and twine add extra texture and dimension to my card.  Be sure to stop by the Oozak Challenge for more inspiration from the design team.
