Lawn Fawn - Magical Holiday

Hey everyone, Samantha here with a sweet Christmas card featuring the most adorable fawn from the "Ho-Ho-Holiday" stamp set.  I love making cards during the holiday season, because it is such a magical time of the year! The fawn is admiring the glittery winter scene inside the snow globe. I cut off the top of the snow globe to make it a more traditional shape.

I love using the "Flippin' Awesome Add On" set, because there are great shapes that create fun layouts. The sparkle cardstock creates such a festive backdrop that really brings the card to life. Mixing sparkle cardstock with regular cardstock adds a fun tactile element to any project!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lawn Fawn - Spooky Halloween Village

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a super fun Halloween card that is on the Lawn Fawn blog! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, because I love the colors and all the fun but not too scary decorations. I created a scene that encompasses the whimsical aspects of Halloween.

The "Spooky Village" stamp set is so much fun to play with. The set creates the cutest Halloween village and comes with so many accessories. The coordinating "Spooky Village" lawn cuts make is super easy to build and expand your setting.

Whenever I get a seasonal stamp set, I like to try to find different solutions to expand the possibilities of the set. The mice from the "Mice on Ice"stamp set were a cute addition to my scene. Since I was using the coordinating "Mice on Ice" lawn cuts, I needed to figure out a solution for the bottom of the skate. So I drew tiny lines to create hiking boots for the mice. It was a simple solution and it was so much fun to watch the skates transform into shoes!

The "Stiched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape" die cut created a nice background for my scene. I used grey cardstock from the "Neutral Pack Cardstock" and copper glitter paper from the "Sparkle Cardstock- Autumn". The papers really helped bring my scene to life, especially the glitter paper!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lawn Fawn - Birthday Fun

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a card that is inspired by the current "Create a Scene Challenge!" I love creating scenes because they are so much fun to put together. It is like each stamped image and additional elements build so much more interest to your project. For my card, I created a birthday party scene that combines multiple stamp sets together.

With some masking and cutting I was able to transform the cat from the "Fortune Teller Tabby" stamp set into a birthday party guest. Instead of having a crystal ball, the cat is celebrating with her fish friend who lives in an adorable fish bowl. I drew lines on the bowl to create part of the cat's body.  I masked the moons on the table cloth and replaced them with bubbles to coordinate with the fish! The accessories from the "Party Animal" stamp set coordinate perfectly with my party scene.

You have time to enter the "Create a Scene Challenge!" The challenge is open until this Sunday, and there is so much inspiration from both the design team and current entries! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #60 - Create a Scene

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a  fun and celebratory birthday card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! I just love to create birthday cards, I always feel like it give you an opportunity to personalize it in so many fun ways. You can play with unique color stories and create really fun party scenes.

I really enjoy mixing older and newer stamps together, and what I really love is when the proportions of the stamps work perfectly for a scene! I used two different stamp sets to create my scene. The "Party Animal" stamp set is one of my all time favorite Lawn Fawn sets, because there are so many cute birthday icons in addition to super cute critters. I paired that set with the "Birthday Before 'N Afters" stamp set. The cake and the little bird popping out of the box is just so much fun. I used foam squares to add depth to all of my layers. I added a few sequins to my card to embellish my scene and create some confetti!

The "Just Stitching Double Rectangles" are so amazing! They create such a fun additional element to your card, and the "Scalloped Rectangle Stackables" fit inside the stitching perfectly. You can create a lot of fun combinations with these dies!

Lawn Fawn - Gnomes

Today I am sharing an interactive card that is inspired by the current Interactive challenge! I created a whimsical scene that is a mixture of stamps and die cuts. I have always been fascinated by gnomes, I think they are so funny and I love their little mushroom houses. The "Mushroom House" die cut is so adorable because there are so many little elements you can use to customize the house. My favorite part on that house is the door that opens, because it creates a simple yet fun reveal on your card.

I love mixing and matching different stamp sets to create something unique. The gnomes from the "Oh Gnome" stamp set had the perfect accessories for my critters from the "Butterfly Kisses" stamp set. I created simple gnome outfits for the bunny and fox, then accessorized them with gnome hats and the bunny even has gnome facial hair! I really had a lot of fun creating my gnome critters!

Lawn Fawn - Summertime Sailing

Happy Monday! I am very excited to share my card today for the Lawn Fawn blog. I am so happy to have the opportunity to share my fun little summertime scene with you. My color palette is inspired by the colors of the sunset.

I used a few of my new stamp sets to create my card. I wanted to dress up my little critters in sailor outfits, so I just used Copic markers to draw shirts on them! The banner created the best boardwalk for my little animals. I layered my ocean scene on pattern pattern and used the scalloped circle die for a fun layout. I am also obsessed with Polka Dot backdrop die cute. It transforms cardstock instantly!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have the best day!

Lawn Fawn- Under the Sea Fun

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a  project inspired by the current Beautiful Beaches challenge. I love this challenge so much because the color palette is so unique and beautiful. I created a card that goes beyond the beach and dives into the ocean. The You are Sublime stamp set creates such a fun under the sea scene. The coordinating die cuts make creating a scene so much easier, because you can cut out multiples of your stamped images so quickly.

I used my all time favorite Lawn Fawn paper is the Watercolor Wishes. All of the colors in the pack are so versatile and the blue color is so perfect for both water and sky! To create the water, I flipped my Stitched Simple Waves Border die cut around so it would not have the stitches. Torn kraft paper was used to create the sandy bottom. I layered all of my stamped images on top ocean background. Sequins were added for additional texture and shine. I really wanted to use a  Freshly Cut Grass Notecards for my card base, but my scene was too large for the size of the notecard. So I cut the notecard along the scoreline to have two pieces of pattern paper. One piece was layered behind my scene for a fun layout and the other will be saved for a future project!

You still time to enter the Beautiful Beaches challenge! The challenge is open until Sunday, July 14 at 11:59 Eastern Time. We would love to see what you create! I hope you have a wonderful day!
