Operation Write Home Blog Hop and Card Drive

Hello Hopper! Today I have two very special cards to share with you for the Operation Write Home Blog HopIf you came from Karen's blog you are in the right spot!

We brought our creativity together in the hopes that we would inspire you to join us (DT members) in doing a good deed! Most of you know our Boys and Gals from the armed forces are deployed all over the world. Sometimes these men and woman are in places that make it very hard, or they’re far away from anywhere that they can pick up a sweet card to send a quick note home. Luckily, they have OPERATION WRITE HOME (OWH). OWH is a non-profit organization that sends special boxes filled with cards to soldiers all over the world. How can you help OWH keep the good deed going? Making cards!!! Yes! OWH angels receive tons of handmade cards from crafters all over the world, then they check and organize cards to be sent out to our soldiers. Take a look at some of their own words about OWH packs.

Now we would love for you to join us to help OWH. We thought it would be amazing fun to do a blog hop to inspire you! Design Teams from Paper Temptress, Oozak and Color me Creative Class will join together in one amazing Card Drive HOP. The fun just gets better! You can join in by making a project (following OWH – size and safety guidelines), entering a picture of the project on the hop inlinkz (One project linked per person please) then mailing the project to us. We would loooove it if you could send as many as you can by November 7th (we will screen them and send all of them to OWH) . You could win super prizes from amazing, super generous sponsors!!! YES!! You do a good deed and you also can win a sweet gift!!!

Thank you to our sponsors

The first card I made is a digital stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps called Norma Burnell's Hoot Owl. I love how this owl looks. I had so much fun coloring all the different feathers on the owl with my Copic markers. I used thick high quality cardstock from the Paper Temptress.

My second card is a digital stamp from A Day For Daisies called Family Ties. I colored all the different owls with my Copic markers, and found a fun coordinating paper. I also used thick high quality cardstock from the Paper Temptress too for this card.

It’s time to HOP around. Leave little note as you pass by these lovely designers’ blogs! Don’t forget to add you project to the inlinkz at the end of the Hop! You will also find the address to mail your cards at the end of the hop. You can Hop throughout the month of October. This way everyone in their own time can hop and join in!

Oozak Challenge #23- Anything Goes with Black and White

Good Morning! Today I have a fun card to share with you for the Oozak Challenge #23- Anything Goes with black and white. I love to use many colors in my projects, so this challenge really allowed me to try something outside the box. Black and White projects tend to be very elegant and beautiful, and I wanted to do something different. I decided to make a fun birthday card using some of my favorite Lawn Fawn stamps. The zebra is from the Lawn Fawn Critters on the Savanna stamp set! I used the Lawn Fawn Admit One stamp set for the balloons. The present is from the Lawn Fawn Pa-Rum-Pa- Pum-Pum stamp set. The Hemptique black and white baker's twine was a great addition to the pattern papers I used. I added some Queen & Co Nightfall rhinestones for some sparkle.

Winter Wonderland

Hey Everyone! Today I have a card that I am very excited to share because it features one of my favorite Lawn Fawn stamps.  This super cute Yeti, from the Yeti Set Go stamp set, is having so much fun at the winter wonderland theme park created from the Admit One stamp set. He is having such a good time riding the ferris wheel and indulging himself in some delicious cotton candy! The pattern paper for the sky is from the Daphne's Closet paper pack.  I embellished my card with glittery snow, oversized epoxy snowflakes, and silver stars. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lawnscaping Challenge #66- Monochromatic

Happy Monday! It is time again for another awesome Lawnscaping Challenge! For this Lawnscaping Challenge you must create a project with a monochromatic color scheme. I love the flamingo from Gnome Sweet Gnome, so I decided that would be perfect for a monochromatic pink card! This flamingo is a new mother to a sweet baby girl from Critters on the Savanna. The stroller is from the Plus One stamp set. I embellished the wheels with pink rhinestones. I stamped the frame from the Say Cheese stamp set and added the "best wishes" sentiment from the So Much to Say stamp set. The pattern papers from the Pink Lemonade paper pack went so well with my pink monochromatic theme.

Materials Used-
