Lawnscaping Challenge #88- Texture

Good morning, I hope you had a great weekend! It is time for another awesome Lawnscaping Challenge. This challenge is to create a project with texture. I LOVE adding texture to my projects! I made this card for my mom's birthday, she is my crafting buddy. We started making cards together a little over 10 years ago, and its something we always enjoy doing together.
A simple and fun way to add texture is by using embossing folders. I used a swiss dot embossing folder for the background of my card. I layered patterned paper on top of the embossed cardstock. I used some burlap ribbon to add an organic element to my design. The "Birthday Tag" has foam tape behind it to add dimension. The bear, from the "Love You S'more" stamp set, just needed a party hat. The birthday hat, from the "Hats off to You" stamp set, fits perfectly on the bear. The bear is sitting on fun pom pom trimming. I added "Silver Sparkle Cord" to my tag, and buttons to the card to add additional texture.

Material Used:
Birthday Tags
Hats Off to You
Love You S'more
Silver Sparkle Cord

This challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn, the winner of the challenge will receive a stamp set of their choice!

Lawnscaping Challenge #87- Back to School

Happy Monday,  I am very excited for the newest Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge is to create a back to school themed project! School is right around the corner for many kids. One of my favorite things about this time of year was buying brand new school supplies. I created a fun scholastic card using a variety of Lawn Fawn supplies. I was inspired by the color combinations in the "Dewey Decimal" petite paper pack. The birds and book, from the "Science of Love" stamp set, coordinated perfectly with the pattern papers. I also used the "Science of Love" lawn die cuts, they save so much time and are so easy to use. I finished off my card with gold sparkle twine. Whenever I wrap twine around my card I typically use foam tape so the paper doesn't leave bumps where the twine is.

Materials Used:
A Good Apple
Dewey Decimal petite paper pack
Gold Sparkle single cord
Science of Love
Science of Love lawn cuts

The card I made for this hop was inspired by summer, and lemonade is a refreshing beverage for hot summer days. I made a sweet little card for this hop using two different Lawn Fawn stamp sets.  The jar and lemons are from the "Summertime Charm" stamp set. I also used the " Make Lemonade" stamp set to decorate the label on the jar. I paired my lemonade with colorful pattern paper and sheer polka dot ribbon!

It's time again for another fun Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge is to create a project using stars and stripes, isn't that fun?! I recently purchased some Lawn Fawn stamps from their new summer release. It was so hard to choose one for my project. I decided to use the "Hello Baby" stamp set. All of the little animals in this set are so sweet and adorable. I created my scene on the "Stitched Journaling card." The banner from the "Blue Skies" stamp set was a fun way to add more color to my scene. The striped paper from the "Let's Polka" petite paper pack was a perfect for this challenge. I finished off my card with gold sparkle twine.

Lawnscaping Challenge #83- Embossing

Good morning, it's time again for another fun Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge is to create a project using an embossing technique. I decided to emboss clouds on a turquoise piece of vellum. I layered the vellum on top of pattern paper from the "Let's Polka" petite paper pack. I absolutely love all the patterns and bright colors in that paper pack. The clouds are a perfect backdrop to the hot air balloons from the "Blue Skies" stamp set. I embellished my card with yellow rhinestones and lime Lawn Fawn twine. I had so much fun layering all the different elements on my card!

Lawnscaping May Blog Hop

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog! This is your last stop for the Lawnscaping May Blog Hop, if you came from the amazingly talented Lenny's blog then you are in the right spot! The color inspiration for this hop is purples and cool grays. I decided to make an embossed treat bag that has a lot of fun textures and elements on it. The purple rhino and the bold sentiment coordinate with the fun pattern paper backdrop. I added sheer flowers and ribbon for additional texture, and I finished off my bag with some purple pearls! I had so much fun making this project.

Happy Monday! It is time again for another fun Lawnscaping Challenge. This challenge is to create a project that has a distressed look to it. There are tons of products out on the market that look distressed. I used some Tim Holtz Shattered Collection cardstock, distress inks, and chalk to create my distressed look.

I created a fun scene with some of my favorite Lawn Fawn products. These little elephants from the "Love You Tons" stamp set, are keeping cool in a water hole they found. In the distance is a tree from the "Critters on the Savanna" stamp set. I used the "Stitched Journaling Card" for the hearts and the top base layer of my card.

Lawnscaping Challenge #81- Create Your Own Background

Happy Monday! It is time again for another fun Lawnscaping Challenge. This challenge is to create a background using multiple stamps. I created a whimsical starry background using three different Lawn Fawn star stamps. I stamped the "Starry Backdrop" with Versamark ink on yellow cardstock and heat embossed the stars with clear embossing powder. I blended distressed inks on top of the yellow cardstock creating a fun sky. I then used pink ink and stamped stars from the "Critters Ever After" and "Blue Skies" stamp sets. I also inked the edges of the grass from the "Pink Lemonade" petite paper pack. The raccoon and mushrooms are from the "Critters in the Forest" stamp set, I love all the different animals in this set. The thank you bubble, from the "Many Thanks" stamp set, is in perfect proportion to the raccoon.

Lawnscaping April Blog Hop

Happy Friday! I hope you are enjoying this Lawnscaping blog hop. If you came from Tracy's blog then you are in the right spot. The theme for this hop is to make a project that is inspired  by turquoise and pale colors.

I made a fun mini size birthday card for this hop. Turquoise and pale colors remind me of the ocean, so I just had to use the "Critters of the Sea" stamp set. The cute little octopus is indulging himself in a tasty cupcake. The "Birthday Tags" stamp set was a perfect addition for my birthday themed card. The papers from "Daphne's Closet" and "Let's Polka" worked so well with my color palette. I tied the "Silver Sparkle" single cord around the top of my card.  I finished off my card with turquoise embellishments that remind me of bubbles!
