Lawnscaping May Blog Hop

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog! This is your last stop for the Lawnscaping May Blog Hop, if you came from the amazingly talented Lenny's blog then you are in the right spot! The color inspiration for this hop is purples and cool grays. I decided to make an embossed treat bag that has a lot of fun textures and elements on it. The purple rhino and the bold sentiment coordinate with the fun pattern paper backdrop. I added sheer flowers and ribbon for additional texture, and I finished off my bag with some purple pearls! I had so much fun making this project.

Lawnscaping Challenge #82- Distress Mania

Happy Monday! It is time again for another fun Lawnscaping Challenge. This challenge is to create a project that has a distressed look to it. There are tons of products out on the market that look distressed. I used some Tim Holtz Shattered Collection cardstock, distress inks, and chalk to create my distressed look.

I created a fun scene with some of my favorite Lawn Fawn products. These little elephants from the "Love You Tons" stamp set, are keeping cool in a water hole they found. In the distance is a tree from the "Critters on the Savanna" stamp set. I used the "Stitched Journaling Card" for the hearts and the top base layer of my card.

Materials Used:
Critters on the Savanna
Love You Tons
Stitched Journaling Card

The sponsor of this challenge is Lawn Fawn. The winner will receive a stamp set of their choice!

Lawnscaping Challenge #81- Create Your Own Background

Happy Monday! It is time again for another fun Lawnscaping Challenge. This challenge is to create a background using multiple stamps. I created a whimsical starry background using three different Lawn Fawn star stamps. I stamped the "Starry Backdrop" with Versamark ink on yellow cardstock and heat embossed the stars with clear embossing powder. I blended distressed inks on top of the yellow cardstock creating a fun sky. I then used pink ink and stamped stars from the "Critters Ever After" and "Blue Skies" stamp sets. I also inked the edges of the grass from the "Pink Lemonade" petite paper pack. The raccoon and mushrooms are from the "Critters in the Forest" stamp set, I love all the different animals in this set. The thank you bubble, from the "Many Thanks" stamp set, is in perfect proportion to the raccoon.

Materials Used:
Blue Skies
Critters Ever After
Critters in the Forest
Many Thanks
Pink Lemonade Petite Paper Pack
Starry Backdrop

The sponsor of this challenge is Simon Says Stamp. The winner of the challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate. Good luck!

Paper Smooches- April Designer Draft Challenge

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog! I decided to play in the April Designer Draft Challenge over at the Paper Smooches challenge blog. I recently purchased the "Alfresco" stamp set, and couldn't wait to ink it up. The horizontal sketch worked the best for my little grilling scene. I stamped and then colored the grill and hamburger with my Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful day!
