Lawn Fawn - Spooky Halloween Village

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a super fun Halloween card that is on the Lawn Fawn blog! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, because I love the colors and all the fun but not too scary decorations. I created a scene that encompasses the whimsical aspects of Halloween.

The "Spooky Village" stamp set is so much fun to play with. The set creates the cutest Halloween village and comes with so many accessories. The coordinating "Spooky Village" lawn cuts make is super easy to build and expand your setting.

Whenever I get a seasonal stamp set, I like to try to find different solutions to expand the possibilities of the set. The mice from the "Mice on Ice"stamp set were a cute addition to my scene. Since I was using the coordinating "Mice on Ice" lawn cuts, I needed to figure out a solution for the bottom of the skate. So I drew tiny lines to create hiking boots for the mice. It was a simple solution and it was so much fun to watch the skates transform into shoes!

The "Stiched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape" die cut created a nice background for my scene. I used grey cardstock from the "Neutral Pack Cardstock" and copper glitter paper from the "Sparkle Cardstock- Autumn". The papers really helped bring my scene to life, especially the glitter paper!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lawn Fawn - Birthday Fun

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a card that is inspired by the current "Create a Scene Challenge!" I love creating scenes because they are so much fun to put together. It is like each stamped image and additional elements build so much more interest to your project. For my card, I created a birthday party scene that combines multiple stamp sets together.

With some masking and cutting I was able to transform the cat from the "Fortune Teller Tabby" stamp set into a birthday party guest. Instead of having a crystal ball, the cat is celebrating with her fish friend who lives in an adorable fish bowl. I drew lines on the bowl to create part of the cat's body.  I masked the moons on the table cloth and replaced them with bubbles to coordinate with the fish! The accessories from the "Party Animal" stamp set coordinate perfectly with my party scene.

You have time to enter the "Create a Scene Challenge!" The challenge is open until this Sunday, and there is so much inspiration from both the design team and current entries! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #60 - Create a Scene

Hey everyone, today I am sharing a  fun and celebratory birthday card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! I just love to create birthday cards, I always feel like it give you an opportunity to personalize it in so many fun ways. You can play with unique color stories and create really fun party scenes.

I really enjoy mixing older and newer stamps together, and what I really love is when the proportions of the stamps work perfectly for a scene! I used two different stamp sets to create my scene. The "Party Animal" stamp set is one of my all time favorite Lawn Fawn sets, because there are so many cute birthday icons in addition to super cute critters. I paired that set with the "Birthday Before 'N Afters" stamp set. The cake and the little bird popping out of the box is just so much fun. I used foam squares to add depth to all of my layers. I added a few sequins to my card to embellish my scene and create some confetti!

The "Just Stitching Double Rectangles" are so amazing! They create such a fun additional element to your card, and the "Scalloped Rectangle Stackables" fit inside the stitching perfectly. You can create a lot of fun combinations with these dies!
